Pilot Plants

Pilot plants are often a fundamental part of any process development. They provide critical design information in a step-wise fashion up to the full-scale implementation of the process, and even after. Early “pilot plants” may be nothing more than a small laboratory set-up, while late-stage pilot plants may be near full-scale in size. Pilot plant design is critical to ensure that the results from the facility will be applicable to the full-scale process. Test planning, testing, data acquisition, data analysis and interpretation, and final reporting are all critical aspects of pilot plant efforts. We have experience that includes fundamental work with small bench-sized laboratory set-ups, all the way to facilities that approach full-scale size. We can assist in all aspects of pilot plant testing, including facility design, test planning, data acquisition and analysis, and reporting.
